Design and Analysis of Conformal Millimeter Wave Antenna for Next Generation Wireless Communication
摘要
Next generation wireless communication systems specific characteristics that include multimedia assistance, fast connectivity, and exceptionally reliable performance in their capability set. If improved data can be obtained inside the distinctive features will surely have a higher probability of accomplishment. The World Radiocommunication Conference 2015 (WRC-15) listed many spectrum bands ranging from 24 to 86 GHz as potential candidates for upcoming next generation cellular networks. In this work, we will discuss the design and numerical modelling of a small conformal millimeter wave antenna generated for future next-generation applications. Its architecture is based on a rectangular patch antenna combined with a rectangular loop antenna to generate a conformal array. The proposed antenna has resonant frequencies ranging from 32.5 to 39.5 GHz. The numerical solution of the Maxwell equations using the finite element method (FEM) reveals that the antenna's structure may produce a reflection coefficient of − 45 dB for a rectangular loop, − 34.5 dB for a microstrip patch, and − 47 dB for a conformal antenna. The antenna array is simulated, and numerous parameters (bandwidth, radiation pattern, reflection coefficient, and correlation coefficient) are described.
