Summing Up

A major challenge in corrosion prediction is addressing aging systems. Data-based models are inadequate because of the difficulty of extrapolating short-term data to long term. Furthermore, new failure modes may occur as a system ages. This chapter provides a summary of the approaches described in previous chapters and outlines approaches to address aging systems.
