Militarization and Militarism in Latin America

The issue of “militarizationMilitarization” has become one of the main concerns for contemporary social sciences. It became recurrent after the Western liberal euphoria which followed the end of the Cold WarCold war was suffocated under the weight of genocide, ecological destruction, xenophobia, domestic, and transnational extremism, and the persistence of poverty and inequality.
