Chapter 4 makes the case for choosing an economist as economic adviser. I hope it is persuasive. Anyone can claim to be an economist. There is no professional society that certifies competence. But the economic club, so to speak, has clear criteria of what it means to be an economist in terms of training and professional experience. The first steps in finding an adviser are not difficult. These are the standard procedures of collecting CVs and references.
