Studies on High-Quality Development of Carbon Trading Listed Companies Promoted by “Double Carbon Target”

Most scientists and governments agree that greenhouse gas emissions have had and will continue to have an impact on the survival of the earth. As a result, the United Nations has taken an interest in carbon trading as an economic means of combating climate change. Many enterprises in China, particularly carbon trading listed companies, have actively responded to the government’s “double carbon target” by exploring high-quality development paths. CiteSpace software is used in this paper to conduct a visual literature analysis of authors, institutions, and keywords on the high-quality development of carbon trading listed companies from 2010 to 2022. The following is a summary of the conclusion: The scope of collaboration among research institutions for high-quality development of carbon trading listed companies is relatively dispersed and more cooperation is required; The study’s key words include carbon trading, carbon accounting, low-carbon economy, and so on. The research is divided into three stages: the exploration period of corporate reform under the low-carbon economy, the research period of corporate carbon accounting system construction, and the in-depth research period of high-quality development countermeasures of companies under the carbon trading system. The high-intensity emergent words are low-carbon economy, listed companies, carbon accounting, and enterprise value, which reflect the research hotspots. In the future, the research focus will remain on corporate value assessment, disclosure of carbon trading information, and research on high-quality corporate development strategies.
