The Impact of Social Responsibility Dimensions on Achieving the Competitive Advantage of the Pharmaceutical Sector: A Case of Jordan

This study aimed to know the impact of the dimensions of the social responsibility strategy on achieving competitive advantage through the study (the economic dimension, the legal dimension, the moral dimension, and the human dimension). To achieve the objectives of the study and test its hypotheses, an appropriate, accessible sample consisting of pharmacies operating in the city of Amman (333) was distributed as a questionnaire to the study sample and the number of questionnaires that were analyzed (308) became a resolution of (92.4%) of the total recovered questionnaires. The researchers relied on the m analytical descriptive approach which suits the nature of the study. The results of the study found a statistically significant effect of the dimensions of the social responsibility strategy combined (the economic dimension, the legal dimension, and the ethical dimension, the philanthropic dimension) in achieving competitive advantage, as the results showed, the economic dimension is the most explained dimension of the social responsibility dimensions, and that the ethical dimension is the least explained dimension of the social responsibility dimensions. The study also recommended that pharmaceutical companies take into account the development and application of ethical dimensions in their social responsibility dimensions.
