The Impact of International Environmental Conferences and Agreements on Environmental Protection in Jordanian Law
摘要
This research deals with an important aspect of environmental protection, which is the impact of international environmental conferences and agreements and their reflection on the Jordanian law. It aims to clarify the extent to which the Jordanian legislator responds to these international environmental conferences and agreements and the extent to which he copes with them and provides legal protection for the environment from pollution in the light of domestic legislation. The study adopted the descriptive and analytical method by analyzing the texts of the articles of the Jordanian Environmental Protection Law and the extent to which these texts respond to the findings of the most important international conventions and conferences. The study concluded a number of results, the most important of which is that Jordan is one of the first countries in dealing with the electronic waste file, but the lack of qualified cadres and good experiences weakens the effectiveness of this file, and recommended the necessity of including an article in the Jordanian Environmental Protection Law that refers to environmental awareness, guidance, preparation of programs and issuance of books, publications, and pamphlets for the development of environmental culture.
