Study on Water Supply Guarantee in Xi'an Urban Area Before the Operation of Hanjiang-to-Weihe River Valley Water Diversion Project

In recent years, Xi'an urban population continues to grow, and the urban water supply projects have been basically full load. It is urgent to find new stable water sources to ensure water supply during the peak period. In order to solve the problem of water shortage in Xi'an 's economic and social development before the operation of Hanjiang-to-Weihe River Valley Water Diversion Project, based on the current situation and problems of urban water supply, analyzed the balance between water supply and demand in Xi'an urban area. By combing the available water sources, water transmission and distribution projects and water plants in the local and surrounding areas, formulated the annual water supply guarantee scheme from 2022 to 2027, and put forward the water supply safety guarantee measures. It is helpful to alleviate the increasingly prominent contradiction between water supply and demand in Xi'an, improve the safety of water supply in the city, and help the economic and social development of the city.
