摘要

The changes caused by the Covid-19 pandemic have affected the foundations of education globally. The “new normal” has led agents of the educational systems to rethink their teaching and learning practices. Among the issues involved are those related to teacher training. Here we report on a formative journey in Chemistry, its difficulties, and problems in this scenario, observed in public higher education in northeastern of Brazil. From the concepts of the Anthropological Theory of the Didactic, we try to answer questions that emerged in the course, such as: what are the new knowledge and skills that teachers need to develop to adapt to the new reality? We reflect on the hypothesis that there is a need to develop digital competence to design tasks adapted to the changes in school time and in the traditional paradigm of teaching.
