Flow Control of a Turbulent Boundary Layer Using Uniform Blowing
摘要
A brief overview on a series of flow control experiments within a Zero-Pressure-Gradient Turbulent-Boundary-Layer (ZPGTBL) is presented here. Flow control is achieved applying uniform blowing (UB) at different velocity from the wall, subsequently, increases coherence of the turbulent structures. Stereo Particle Image Velocimetry (SPIV) data shows that ‘ejection’ and ‘sweep’ events are augmented with the increased blowing velocity and they eventually contribute in the turbulence statistics.
