Injection Molding: For Incisal Edges and Direct Onlays
摘要
Complex oral rehabilitation aims at both aesthetic and functional restoration. Contemporary dental materials, clinical digital planning techniques, and mock-ups allow the dentist and the patient to evaluate the proposed treatment plan visually and clinically. However, making final restorations, direct or indirect, is still very difficult and time-consuming, requiring specific skills and attention to detail. This chapter will present the injection molding technique for incisal edges and direct onlays: indications, materials used, working protocol, special features for anterior teeth, palatal veneers and incisal edges, special features for posterior teeth (direct onlays), and Vailati three-step technique for complex rehabilitation.
