Case Scapholunate Ligament Partial Tear

DB who is a 43-year-old right-hand-dominant male presented with acute and continued complaints of diffuse pain about his right wrist secondary to a hyperextension injury to his right wrist while attempting to restrain an agitated patient 3 months prior to presentation to my office. He described acute pain and swelling while feeling a “popping” sensation about his wrist at the time of the injury. He also described a sense of “giving way” with acute and persistent weakness.
