摘要

High-energy trauma to the wrist can result in perilunate dislocations and fracture-dislocations (PLD-PLFD). The term perilunate injuries non-dislocated (PLIND) defines a spontaneously reduced PLD (PLIND) or PLFD (bony PLIND). Inclusion of PLIND into the spectrum of perilunate injuries allows for a more comprehensive understanding of these complex, high-energy injuries. PLIND patterns include acute and chronic presentations. PLIND should not be missed, as these injuries require a treatment similar to PLD-PLFD. Unless proven otherwise, the combination of a high-energy injury mechanism, painful/swollen wrist, and midcarpal chip fractures raises a high index of suspicion of an acute PLIND.
