Perilunate Injuries: Open Management

Perilunate injuries represent a spectrum of injuries, and operative management continues to evolve. We present a case of trans-scaphoid perilunate fracture-dislocation to guide discussion of the standard open approach to perilunate injuries. Controversies including the role for arthroscopy in diagnosis and treatment of perilunate injuries and the management of the lunotriquetral interval are discussed.
