摘要

Despite increasing interest in, and use of arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques for surgical treatment of scapholunate instability, there remain challenging cases presenting concern for the capacity of these techniques to maintain correction of instability. In particular, increased chronicity, wide static separation, dorsal translation of the proximal scaphoid and lunate extension, in a high demand patient are poor prognostic indicators for which a more robust tendon reconstruction may be considered. The SLT reconstruction focuses on correcting the dorsal scaphoid translation and reestablishing the dorsal capsular control of the proximal carpal row.
