Surgical Energy Devices or Devices for Hemostasis
摘要
Surgical “energy” devices that provide adequate hemostasis and allow accurate dissection of tissue are essential during surgical procedures. Unreliable tools, or incorrect handling can cause bleeding, injury to adjacent organs, and can jeopardize visualization. Modern energy devices have evolved in the past years, improving both control of hemostasis and the precision of tissue dissection. These advancements can reduce operation time, collateral damage to surrounding tissue, and blood loss, and result in improved outcomes in laparoscopic, robotic-assisted, and open surgical procedures.
