Culture and Resistance: Home, Exile, and Belonging and the Representation of Women in the Posters of the Medu Art Ensemble
摘要
This chapter explores the representation of women in South Africa’s liberation struggle an analysis of three posters of the Medu Art Ensemble in Botswana, and their role in rememorizing women’s history through cultural expression will be conducted. Exiled women within the anti-apartheid movement used poetry and culture to resist the interlocking systems of oppression of gender, class, and race.
