摘要

Managing bone defects is a complex problem, especially in skeletally immature patients. Some defects will undergo spontaneous regeneration if the appropriate conditions are met. However, bone defects will commonly need to be managed with varying techniques. This chapter will describe the following: bone grafting, induced membrane technique, bone transport, acute shortening and lengthening, and fibular grafts. All-internal, integrated, and external fixation strategies will be discussed.
