Introduction

This introductory chapter sets out the key problems that this book engages with, outlining its aims, the roots from which the book developed, and its structure. The research methodologies deployed while writing the book are also outlined, and it is argued that there is a need for greater personal reflection in projects that link to global development outcomes.
