Mild Neurocognitive Disorders

摘要

Mild neurocognitive disorder (MiND) affects 16% of older adults and is defined as cognitive decline beyond what is expected for age in one or more cognitive domains, but in which functioning remains relatively intact. Early identification of MiND and management of potentially reversible or contributing risk factors for MiND are vital to reduce the risk of progression to major neurocognitive disorder. Management of cardiovascular risk factors can also decrease the risk of progression of MiND to major neurocognitive disorder (MND). Evidence-based non-pharmacological interventions for MiND include physical activity and cognitive training. The recent discoveries of disease-modifying therapeutics such as the anti-amyloid agents point to a promising future of new approaches to reduce the public health impact of MiND.
