Cannabis Use Disorder
摘要
Cannabis is among the most frequently used illicit substances in the geriatric population, and its use continues to increase in frequency. Cannabis use disorder (CUD) currently has no approved pharmacological treatments, and there is a dearth of research in the area of treatment specific to the geriatric population. Non-pharmacological treatment options include various psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational enhancement therapy (MET), and contingency management (CM), with the most evidence suggesting the use of a combination of two or more of these modalities. Given the lack of research for treatments specific to the older adult population, this is a potential area of future research.
