Optimization of Lithium‐Ion Batteries Using Boltzmann Metaheuristics Systems: Towards a Green Artificial Intelligence

摘要

Today, Planet Earth confronts an urgent climate crisis, which has been mostly generated by global warming. This phenomenon requires a fast transition towards generating clean energy sources and efficient energy storage systems. Lithium-ion batteries have emerged as a promising solution for storing clean energy and powering various battery-requiring applications, including electric vehicles and renewable energy integration. However, ensuring a sustainable lithium supply, a critical and necessary component for battery generation, presents a significant challenge. This work investigates the optimization of lithium battery design using the Boltzmann optimization algorithm (BOA), a novel approach based on statistical thermodynamics that provides a solution to this problem. Lithium-ion batteries present a more sustainable alternative due to their longer cycle life and stability. The focus of the work is the development and application of BOA in the context of lithium battery design optimization. Therefore, BOA generates a new family of artificial intelligence inspired towards sustainable objectives of environmental character. Therefore—it allows us to coin the term Green Evolutionary Optimization.
