This chapter examines the pattern of Pascal’s treatment of the five condemned Jansenist propositions, across the Provincial Letters, the Writings on Grace, and the Pensées, in order to establish the specifics of his view of grace and human freedom, his distance from Jansenism, and the contours of his relation to the tradition of Catholic thought.
