摘要

Complex quantum dot molecules with three or more localized sites can exhibit novel, genuine quantum mechanical transport phenomena, not present in simpler single level and DQD systems. Here we focus on the impact of quasi-angular momentum degrees of freedom, which characterize closed planar structures and nanotubes. Exemplarily, we discuss current and noise in a triangular triple quantum dot, identifying the fingerprints of a dark state formation. By means of magneto-transport spectroscopy, we analyze the influence of the short range intervalley exchange in carbon nanotubes quantum dots (CNT-QDs). We further discuss the emergence of a Wigner crystal in quasi one dimensional CNT-QDs, due to the long range component of the Coulomb interaction.
