The seventeenth century Europe especially England had experienced a burgeoning commercial development in maritime trading, financing, textile making, etc. Largely benefited from the technology innovations the textile industry in England was constantly on the lookout for something new to improve its operation, bottom-line or status-quo in order to survive and stand out amid the fierce competition in the market place.
