Secured by Definition

Total Quality Management (TQM), Kaizen etc. has changed the way quality is nowadays achieved in automotive and other production areas. This chapter is dedicated to Secured by Definition, a quality-focused approach and principle that helps improving IT service security through process orientation and integration. The idea is quite simple: abandon to focus on inspections, audits, warnings, full control, and awareness. Instead, concentrate on creating the conditions that foster good IT security and make securing IT services an inseparable, ordinary part of designing, implementing, delivering, and maintaining IT services. It is described how this can be implemented in concrete terms.
