Taxonomy

This chapter introduces a Taxonomy for IT service security. The Taxonomy is a graphic showing topic areas relating to technologies and activities, each with a brief profile. Terms and codes ease referencing. The Taxonomy creates overview and clarity and is the universal tool for organizing, orchestrating, and optimizing IT service security. The Taxonomy is derived from goals and design principles. Several use cases are considered. Brief profiles for all topic areas are provided which can be used as the basis for elaborating or compiling related IT security standards.
