摘要

Vitamin E is a lipophilic vitamin that helps scavenge cells from ROS and causes lipid peroxidation. Its non-enzymatic antioxidant activity makes it helpful in treating disorders such as Alzheimer's, Huntington's, Parkinson's, and many types of cardiovascular impairments. Different types of prospective, randomized clinical, and double-anonymized trials were successful because an isoform of vitamin E called α-tocopherol has the most protective effect against lipid peroxidative damage. Vitamin E (α-tocopherol) has been researched in numerous clinical studies and evaluated in the current literature as a medicinal agent for its neuroprotective and cardioprotective functions.
