Vitamin C possesses many bioactivities, such as antioxidantAntioxidant and anticancerAnticancer activities. Vitamin CVitamin C shows anticancer action against many cancersCancer, such as colorectal cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, brain cancer, thyroid cancer and so on. The underlying mechanismsMechanisms of action include producing H2O2, inducing apoptosis, causing DNA damage, increasing autophagosome, disrupting glycolysisGlycolysis, depleting ATP and other signaling pathways.
