Droplets of the Order Parameter and Superconductivity in a Low-Density Attracting Fermion System in the Presence of a Strong Random Potential

In the framework of the 2D attractive-U Hubbard model at low electron density and in the presence of strong diagonal disorder, we analyze the possibility of the formation of the paired (order parameter) droplets in the matrix of the unpaired (normal) states. We investigate also the nature of the percolative superconductor–insulator phase transition in this system when droplets are growing with the increase in electron density forming a large percolative cluster.
