Electron Polaron Effect, Anomalous Resistivity, and the Origin of a Heavy Mass in the Two-Band Model with One Narrow Band
摘要
We discuss the electron polaron effect, the origin of a heavy mass, and a tendency toward phase separation in the two-band Hubbard model with one narrow band. We also discuss anomalous resistivity characteristics in the 2D and 3D two-band Hubbard models in the regime of a destroyed heavy band. The nature of the electron polaron effect is related to the formation of the anti-adiabaticCloudanti-adiabatic cloud cloud of soft electron–hole pairs of the light band, in which a heavy electron is dressed in the course of its tunneling from one unit cell to the neighboring one.
