Biomass Utilization for Energy Production
摘要
Today, the notion of biomass is increasingly used, being known as the biodegradable part found in certain industries. It is noted that in terms of renewable energy in the EU, biomass is an important pawn, representing about 60%. Biomass can be used for several ecological and energy purposes both in raw state and subjected to mechano-chemical processes (gasification, pyrolysis and fermentation). Due to the increasing use of fertilizers, energy crops are in danger, both their production being affected and their cost being increasingly higher. In the European Union there are countries with high wood potential, but also countries with suitable agricultural potential. In both situations, regenerative energy also comes significantly from these sources. Animal husbandry, through the resulting manure, usually together with agricultural biomass, is an important energy resource through the biogas produced. According to studies from an energy point of view, by comparison, biofuels (compared to classical fuels) bring advantages in choosing technical and economic solutions for an efficient and environmentally friendly recovery.
