Cooling Water of the Sources with Thermodynamic Cycle, Consumption and Limitation of Environmental Pollution

The realization of any thermal cycle requires the existence of a hot source where the working fluid receives heat, a thermal machine, in which the fluid expands producing mechanical work, a cold source (condenser), where the fluid condenses and gives up its heat to the cold source and, to close the cycle, a pump that raises the pressure from the condensing pressure to the boiler inlet pressure. The evacuation of heat from the cold source of the thermal cycle, as well as from various points of the classical or nuclear thermoelectric plant, is carried out with water and/or atmospheric air. The cooling water balance, cooling water consumption and water discharge limitations are presented, including solutions for this.
