摘要

According to the latest data from the International Energy Agency, the number of people in the world living without electricity is set to increase by around 20 million in 2022, reaching almost 775 million, this is the first increase of this magnitude since the IEA reported. started tracking data 20 years ago.Rising energy prices is having an inescapable consequence on everyday life of citizens. In fact, in the last year the dear-bills has become a major concern of citizenship, increasing the “energy poverty” especially in the weaker sections of the population. Millions of citizens, with conscious behavior and with a lifestyle attentive to energy efficiency, can contribute to the reduction of the energy needs of each individual country. A new culture of consumption, based on responsibility and ethical conduct, is good for energy savings in the home and translates into respect for the environment. In the current scenario, citizens have no alternative but to adapt their lifestyle and consumption habits in a more sustainable perspective, making use of innovative and digital solutions capable of guaranteeing full control of energy consumption and optimize any inefficiencies. In order to manage the situation and ensure an ecological transition that is as distributed as possible, the efforts of citizens must be adequately supported and accompanied by the intervention of supranational and national institutions. With this study we try to find the different elements and their interweaving, which determine the aspects that generate the demand and consumption of electricity, since the concept of accessibility is not only linked to relative disadvantages with respect to the income and costs of the energy but also, for example, the absence of adequate energy infrastructures and the unavailability of technologies and/or devices. This study is aimed not only at scientific researchers, but above all at energy managers, policy makers and decision makers, involved in the elimination of energy poverty, through a vision linked to the awareness of end users.
