Classification of Building Components Using Artificial Intelligence Based on Meta-Information in BIM Models

摘要

Today there is an urgent need for digitalization of many processes in the construction industry, but the problems of automation of some construction processes have not yet been implemented in many companies due to lack of resources. This article discusses the methodology of classification of building elements using artificial intelligence (AI) and analysis of meta-information within each element. The article presents a detailed analysis of the use of TF-IDF and logistic regression for the classification of building components, as well as an assessment of the effectiveness of this technique along with traditional methods. This method can be used to automate construction processes throughout the entire life-cycle of the construction of an object in the presence of metadata of classification objects. The study also covers the importance of this method for optimizing processes in the construction industry and improving the quality of projects.
