Development and Application of Information Systems for Planning Production Activities of an Industrial Company

The growth of production efficiency is one of the key priorities of economic development. Improving product quality, reducing production costs, expanding the range of manufactured products are the main strategic goal of any enterprise. Business entities cannot operate and develop without effective management systems that utilize the latest information technologies. Constantly changing market requirements and huge data flows require managers to make quick and efficient decisions aimed at maximizing profits at minimal costs. The article presents the results of research of theoretical prerequisites of digitalization of resource planning processes of industrial organizations, contributing to the reduction of the real cost of production and increasing the productivity of the metallurgical plant. The operational activity of the enterprise is formalized in the form of a certain enlarged business process, within which groups of process indicators corresponding to those or other constituent elements of the process are allocated. A computer program has been developed to optimize and improve the quality of the process of calculating the main technical and economic parameters of the foundry's operation, as well as to obtain statistical reports on the performed operations. Unlike typical foreign and domestic solutions, the application takes into account the specifics of metallurgical enterprises, does not contain redundant functionality, does not require computer resources, can be used by employees of planning and finance and planning and technical departments, as well as in the training of specialists.
