Representations and Characters

In this chapter, we delve into the central concept of group theory: the representation of finite groups, RepresentationsCharacters with a particular focus on irreducible representations. The notion of representation is closely related to that of matrix groups, which we introduce first in Sect. 4.1. In Sect. 4.2, we explore representations in detail and discuss their most important properties.
