Global BV Solutions to a System of Balance Laws from Traffic Flow

We show the existence of global BV solutions and asymptotic behavior for a system of balance laws arising in traffic flow in the framework of Dafermos (2016). We derive the entropy-entropy flux pair, Kawashima condition, sub-characteristic condition, and partial dissipative inequality to prove our results.
