Operation and Care of Treatments

Some acoustic treatments are ‘install and forget.’ These include many acoustic insulations and damping treatments. Many, however, require some monitoring over their life and replacement at certain intervals. These include isolation mounted equipment and floating decks. If these systems are not maintained properly the acoustic environment will degrade over time. These features are covered in this chapter.
