Subjects in the Field of Football: Preference Formation in the Pre-Political Space
摘要
The thesis of this chapter is that arenas of authenticity in modern football have been systematically reduced in order to subordinate them to the primacy of success. For this, both affirmative and challenging discourses on the success in football will be given attention to. In the course of the chapter, three components of this discourse will be discussed: (1) constant vigilance, (2) unlimited competition, and (3) internalized desire for success.
