Noninterpretive Skills Including Quality and Safety
摘要
Noninterpretive knowledge and skills are integral to the effective and safe practice of radiology in the modern world. The goal of this chapter is to highlight important concepts that reflect the core of the medical profession, as well as to educate the radiologist-in-training of key concepts that are specific to radiology, which are necessary for optimal and prudent patient care. The information contained within this chapter also serves the public interest by expecting the radiology trainee to know the material and establish safe practices. We therefore include information regarding radiology reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and medical malpractice; and briefly discuss the basics of imaging informatics and processing.
