This chapter reviews the major inherited metabolic disorders with which (radiology) residents should be familiar: Adrenoleukodystrophy, Metachromatic Leukodystrophy, Alexander Disease, Canavan Disease, Globoid Cell Leukodystrophy (Krabbe disease), and Pelizaeus-Merzbacher Disease.
