Frederick Matthias Alexander—Inventor of the Alexander Technique
摘要
Frederick Matthias Alexander (1869–1955) was an Australian actor who ran into health problems for which he developed his own cure based on the correction of poor posture and movement. He began teaching his method to others in need. Alexander moved to London and later to New York, where he managed to attract many prominent clients. Alexander had a somewhat turbulent private life. He published several books which are in print to the present day. Even though not well-researched, his method remained popular and is used today for a wide range of conditions.
