摘要

Headache disorders are prevalent neurological conditions that have a significant impact on work, social, and family activities, as well as sexual functioning, particularly during the most demanding years of life. Patients suffering from headache disorders, such as migraine or cluster headache, may be at a higher risk of experiencing sexual dysfunction due to the chronic neurological and pain conditions that often coexist with mood disorders. Furthermore, the pharmacological treatments used to manage and prevent headaches may potentially have side effects on sexual function. This chapter provides a comprehensive review of the sexual impact of primary headache disorders, including migraine, tension-type headache, and cluster headache and primary headaches associated with sexual activity. We also discuss headaches associated with drugs used in sexual medicine and the sexual side effects of headache treatments.
