The Notion of Archetype in Jung and in the Mathematical Theory of Rene Thom

摘要

An archetype is etymologically a primitive model. It is indeed generally considered as a theoretical reference model comprising the essential attributes, features or properties that characterize an object. It can be the model of a curriculum vitae for example, or the stylized model of the leaf of a tree drawn by a child. In biology, the archetypes represent, almost in the same spirit, the primitive or ancestral organic types common to several species and which are preserved through their differences.
