Chorematics. The Dynamics of Lived Space

  • Per Aage Brandt

摘要

This text takes up analyzes by the author dating from half a century ago, on the subjunctive, but within the framework of ideas on “chorematics”, a form of dynamical spatio-semiotics, developed a little later, and in relation with the structural semantics of Greimas, with the catastrophist dynamics of Thom, and finally with the mental spaces (Fauconnier, Turner) and semio-cognitive blending. It thus presents a cross-section in the layers of theorization and modeling that this spatio-semiotics has sedimented during a long and fairly turbulent period. It tries to show the permanence of a fundamental principle through the diversity of the problems tackled, all of which ultimately coming under the relationship between meaning and reality, a relationship which is established, as we are trying to show, thanks to the semiotic dynamics of the lived space, those which we will call chorematics.
