René Thom and His Impact on Modeling in Biology
摘要
I met René Thom in 1976 at EPCM laboratory (Physico-Chemical and Molecular Enzymology Lab), where I was preparing my medical thesis supervised in Orsay by François Seydoux and by Jeanine Yon, whose husband Théo Kan, a physiologist from the Institute of Physico-Chemical Biology (IBPC) founded by René Wurmser, knew René Thom and attended his famous Seminar at IHES (Institut des Hautes Etudes Scientifiques at Bures-sur-Yvette). I had discovered IHES during a visit to Claude-Paul Bruter in 1977, to which I showed my medical thesis manuscript.
