摘要

The indigenous people who live in the hilly areas have access to the most basic technique known as shifting agriculture. There is no other method for farming the soil in the hilly regions. For the tribal people, shifting farming is a natural way of life. Man–nature relationship of a community is reflected in its mode of resource use across the ideological axis. The impact of climate change on the livelihoods of the indigeneous societies of the Northeastern region has been explored in the study from different dimensions.
