Individual CRPS Case Management
摘要
Not everyone has access to multidisciplinary care, nor is it necessary for all patients with CRPS to require comprehensive multi-factorial treatment. Most patients presenting with appropriate CRPS diagnostic signs and symptoms will respond to unimodal treatment strategies that will be described in the following case studies that reflect the management of several such cases over a period of 30 years. While accepting the fact that many patients with CRPS do undergo spontaneous remission of their symptomatology, adequate epidemiological studies have still not provided us with a reliable number. What has become obvious from the literature, however, is an increasing number of case reports that describe better outcomes when early treatment and multidisciplinary management is followed. Another factor is an increasing awareness of the benefits of early behavioural measures.
