Steady pipe flow
摘要
Chapter 11 is dedicated to steady pipe flow; however, the derivation of the Prandtl-Colebrook equations has been shifted to the Appendix. Hydraulic losses are considered for both, laminar and turbulent flow and the friction coefficient introduced into the energy equation, which is consequently depicted through energy diagrams. Minor losses, pumps and turbines are considered as local impacts and pipe junctions round up this important topic that is also accompanied by codes, experiments, and examples.
